Who is eligible for this scholarship?
Students must be residents of Uttarakhand, belong to the Scheduled Tribe category, and be enrolled in a recognized school or educational institution.
What is the maximum annual income allowed for parents/guardians?
The combined annual income from all sources of the student’s parents or guardians should not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
How long is the scholarship available for?
The scholarship is available for one academic year only.
How can students apply for the scholarship?
Students can apply online through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at https://scholarships.gov.in.
How is the application submitted to the authorities?
The student submits the application to their educational institution using their own ID. The institution forwards the application to the District Social Welfare Officer for verification.
How is the scholarship disbursed?
The scholarship amount is directly transferred to the student’s bank account through PFMS, subject to budget availability.
