The scheme aims to promote the development of modern post-harvest infrastructure by supporting farmers & entrepreneurs in setting up facilities such as pack houses, pre-cooling units, cold rooms, cold storage units, etc., thereby reducing post-harvest losses & marketability of horticultural produce.

The district officer sends an approval letter to the applicant and informs them over the phone.

How is the subsidy released?

After completion of the unit, a joint inspection is conducted by departmental officials, and the approved government assistance/subsidy is credited to the farmer's loan account.
