- Under this scheme, by providing adequate resources to rural women through Women Milk Producers Cooperative Societies at the village level, their direct participation in the state’s economy is encouraged, making them socially and economically self-reliant. | - The scheme also organizes various training, incentive, and awareness programs for women members to increase milk production. These include training programs for secretaries and management committee members, women encouragement and motivational programs, seminars on clean milk procurement, and special women-focused seminars on the occasion of International Women’s Day. | - Under the women incentive program to increase milk procurement, first, second, and third prizes are awarded to the women milk producers who supply the maximum milk in the district.

After sharing complete information in an open meeting, a Women’s Milk Committee is formed by consensus. From this committee, nine women are selected as Managing Committee members, and a Chairperson is elected from among them.

Who manages the operations of the Milk Committee?

The Managing Committee appoints a Secretary as an employee to run the Milk Committee’s daily operations.

Are all milk-producing women required to join the Committee?

Yes, all women who supply milk to the Milk Committee are required to become members of the Committee.

What kind of training is provided under the scheme?

The scheme provides various training programs including Secretary training, management committee training, clean milk procurement seminars, and women empowerment seminars.

How are the Managing Committee members selected?

Nine women are selected from the Women’s Milk Committee members through consensus during the open meeting process.

How are incentives determined for women milk producers?

Incentives are given based on the quantity of milk supplied, with the top three producers in each district receiving prizes to motivate increased participation.
