The scheme aims to promote sustainable and organized poultry farming among cooperative society members, especially women, by providing financial and technical support for poultry rearing, thereby enhancing income generation and livelihood opportunities in the state.

What you get

- Under the project, each farmer will rear 750 chicks annually in three phases. The Animal Husbandry Department will supply 500 one-day-old chicks from the state sector budget through M-PACS, while the farmer will bear the cost of the remaining 250 chicks. | - The Cooperative Department will provide an interest-free loan for the construction of poultry sheds and for the care & rearing of the chicks.

Who can apply

The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.; The applicant must be a member of a Multi-Purpose Agricultural Cooperative Society (MPACS).; Preference will be given to female beneficiaries under this scheme.; The applicant must not have any outstanding loans from MPACS or any other bank.; The selected applicant must be eligible to receive Medium-Term (MT) and Short-Term (ST) loans under the Deendayal Upadhyaya Krishi Kalyan Yojana.; The applicant must own or have land on lease.
