Under this scheme, there is a special provision for the free distribution of seeds or saplings of medicinal plants up to 3 nali and seeds or saplings of aromatic plants up to 5 nali to farmers belonging to border districts, Scheduled Castes/Tribes, and Below Poverty Line (BPL) categories.

What you get

- To encourage the cultivation of herbs, a 50% government subsidy will be provided on herbal plantation materials, inputs, and related items. | - By distributing seeds/saplings of medicinal plants such as Atis, Kutki, Kuth, Jatamansi, Chirayta, Van Kakri, Pyrethrum, Taggar, Manjith, Coleus, Sarpagandha, Shatavar, Silybum, Pippali, Mandukparni/Brahmi, Amymesus, Stevia, and Tilpushpi up to 3 nali, and seeds or saplings of medicinal and aromatic plants such as Feran, Black Cumin, Large Cardamom, Rosemary, Geranium, Lemongrass, Chamomile, Bay Leaf, and Amymesus up to 5 nali free of cost, farmers are encouraged to cultivate medicinal and aromatic plants and are motivated towards self-employment. | - To extend the subsidy facilities provided by the State and Central Governments to farmers, ensure the availability of technical information, provide training facilities, offer the benefits of processing systems, and prepare documentation and a database of cultivation activities.
