The scheme aims to recognize and reward innovative and extraordinary work done by a team of officials to encourage good governance, high standards of services, and replication of best practices. It recognizes outstanding and exemplary performance by a team of officials with a scroll and cash award.

Who can apply

The applicant must represent one of the following:; The applicant must be nominated only through the Administrative Secretary.; The applicant must submit an application that contains the recommendation of the Departmental Committee.; The applicant must propose achievements of initiatives and projects whose qualitative and quantitative outcomes/results are of very high order and which have benefitted a large number of citizens.; The application should be made for rewardable work done during the previous one calendar year as on the date of nomination.

Yes, all Government Departments, Public Sector Undertakings, Local Bodies, Autonomous Bodies, Corporations, and Agencies under the Government of Puducherry are eligible for consideration.

What is the required process for submitting a nomination, and can the department or organization nominate itself directly for the award consideration?

Nominations must be made exclusively through the Administrative Secretary; self-nomination by the Departments, Organizations, or Institutions themselves will be summarily rejected.

The rewardable work should have been done during the previous one calendar year as measured on the date the nomination is submitted.

Yes, the projects must demonstrate achievements whose qualitative and quantitative outcomes or results are of a very high order and which have benefited a large number of citizens.

Yes, to avail of the financial assistance under the Government of Puducherry Grant of Stipend to Junior Advocates Scheme Rules, 2020, the applicant must mandatorily be a citizen of India.

The applicant must be a native by birth or a continuous resident of the Union territory of Puducherry for five years who has pursued a Law degree in any Government Law College.

A "Junior Advocate" must be a Law Graduate who has enrolled in the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and passed the All India Bar Examination (AIBE).

Yes, applicants must be Junior Advocates as defined in the rules and must not be above 30 years of age to be eligible for the scheme.

Yes, the applicant shall comply with Rule 6 of these rules, which specifies mandatory duties such as regularly attending Free legal aid camps and assisting the Courts as an Intern during the period of financial assistance.

What is the minimum required overall service duration an individual must have completed within the police department to be eligible for the award nomination?

The nominee for the Union Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Police Training must have completed a minimum of five years of service in the police department.

Is there a requirement regarding the minimum continuous service length necessary specifically within the current police training institution by the date of consideration?

Yes, only those officers who have completed a minimum of two years of service in the training institute continuously as on the 1st of April of the year of consideration can be nominated.

What is the required total cumulative experience one must possess working across all training institutes to be eligible for nomination?

The total length of service in one training institute or multiple training institutes should not be less than 3 years.

Are there any specific requirements regarding the nominee's professional record concerning pending inquiries or periods of active punishment?

No Judicial Proceedings or Departmental Enquiry should be in pendency, nor should any period of punishment be in currency at the time of considering the nomination for the award.

What standard of grading is mandatory in the Annual Confidential Reports for the preceding five years to meet the eligibility requirements?

The Annual Confidential Report grading must be ‘Outstanding’ or ‘Very good’ in 3 years out of the last 5 years and ‘Good’ in the remaining 2 years.
