Who can apply

He/ She must be a permanent resident/domicile of Odisha.; Weavers & Ancillary Workers and Handicraft Artisans to be eligible for assistance under the scheme should be 40 years & above in case of female and 50 years & above in case of male.; His/ Her name must be in the final list of weavers & ancillary workers and artisans as per the latest survey. The National awardees, Stale awardees, Kalakruti awardees, Tantakruti Awardees including Design/ Merit certificate awardees in Handloom & Handicraft sectors will also be eligible irrespective of their names placed in the above survey list, if they are otherwise eligible. The beneficiaries out of above survey list may be screened further by HT&H Department officials in the district or other such officer as would be appointed by the District Collector.; Only one member of the family shall be eligible to get the assistance under this Scheme irrespective of the number of family members fulfilling the eligibility criteria.; The annual income of the family should not exceed Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh) The Income Certificate issued by Concerned Tahasildar/ Additional Tahasildar or any other competent authority of Revenue Department is acceptable.; Govt. employees, lncome Tax payers, Retired Govt. employees of Govt. of India and/or any State Government will not be eligible to get the assistance from the scheme.; A Handloom weaver/ Ancillary worker/ Handicraft Artisan wilt not be eligible if he/ she is availing similar benefits under any other scheme of the State Government like Madhubabu Pension Yojana, Mukhyamantri Kalakar Sahayata Yojana, etc., and any other scheme of Government of India.; A Handloom weaver/ Ancillary worker/ Handicraft Artisan will not be eligible if he/ she has been convicted of any criminal offence.; Financial Assistance under this scheme to a beneficiary shall be effective from the date of approval of District Level Selection Committee.

What is the eligibility Criteria ?

A person shall be eligible to get benefits under this Scheme if he/she: is of 60 years of age and abovemust have worked at least the preceding 20 years in the respective profession (at the time of attaining 60 years). For the purpose, Bunakars and full-time ancillary workers will be eligible. or, is a widow (irrespective of age, subject to the condition that her husband had been a bunakar / full-time ancillary worker for at least 10 years at the time of death).Whose family income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 1,00,000/- per annum (Tahsildar concerned to certify).is a permanent resident/domicile of Odisha.Both the Bunakar and ancillary workers should have valid weavers identity cards issued in his/her name by the State / Central Government.The applicant should furnish an affidavit or self-declaration that he/she is not in receipt of any other monthly financial assistance/pension from the State or Central Government.The applicant should furnish an affidavit or self-declaration that he/ she has not been convicted of any criminal offence, provided that the Government may, having regard to the circumstances of each case, waive this disability, if, in their judgment, the conviction was based on the ground other than moral turpitudeWhere more than one member of a family qualifies the eligibility, only one of them will be entitled to benefit under this scheme

How to find Application Form ?

The form may be obtained from the Zonal Office of the Directorate of Textiles working for the Handloom sector or from the website of the Department of Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts.

How to submit the application ?

Application in the prescribed form filled correctly in duplicate along with the documents shall be submitted to the Zonal Officer (DDT/ADT as the case may be). Zonal Officer will then make necessary entries of the particulars in a register duly maintained at his/her level in order of priority based on the date of receipt of the application. Such priority must be maintained in sanctioning assistance under BBSY

What the documents are required ?

- Three identical self-attested copies of recent passport-size colour photographs. 2. Self-attested copy of the Weavers Identity Card. 3. Self-attested xerox copy of the 1st page of the individual Savings Bank Pass Book showing photograph, full name, name of father/spouse, address, bank, branch, account number, IFSC and MICR code details into which the assistance will be deposited. Account must be in the name of the applicant as submitted in the application form. Account must be opened in a bank with a core banking facility to enable the digital transfer of assistance. 4. Certificate regarding total annual family income from the concerned Tahasildar. 5. Proof of age. 6. An affidavit that he/she is not in receipt of any such assistance from either the State or Central Government.
