CHIEF MINISTER EMPLOYMENT GENERATION PROGRAMME (CMEGP)

Government of Maharashtra has approved the introduction of a new credit linked subsidy program called Chief Minister Employment Generation Program(CMEGP) for generation of employment opportunities through establishment of Micro & Small Enterprises in rural as well as urban areas in state.

Who can apply

1)The Age of the applicant should be between 18 to 45. For Special category (including SC/ST/Women/ Ex-servicemen/Differently abled) age is relaxed by 5 years. | 2)The Occupation of the applicant should be unemployed youth, Youth willing to establish new ventures. | 3)The Annual Income of the Applicant/Family/Parent/Guardian should No criteria LPA | 4)The Gender of the applicant should be Male and Female | 5)The Marital Status of the applicant should be for all | 6)The Educational Qualification of the applicant should be minimum 7th standard pass for project/unit above Rs. 10 lac and for project/units above Rs.25 lac the required educational criterion for the applicant is minimum 10th standard pass.

What is maximum project cost allowed under CMEGP?

Rs.50.00 lakhs for manufacturing unit and Rs.20.00 lakhs for Service Unit.

Who are the beneficiaries?

Individual Entrepreneurs and SHG's.

What is Age limit ?

Any individuals between 18 to 45 years of age. For special category age is relaxed by 5 years.

What is the definition of family ?

Self and Spouse.

Whether Unit can be set up in urban Area.?

Yes, through Implementing Agencies.

What are the main criteria of project?

It should fulfill the criteria of rural area (for Rural Area project), own contribution, negative list and the unit should be new one.

What is lock in period for Govt. Subsidy?

3 years.

Which are the financial agencies?

All Public Sector Banks, Regional Rural Banks (RRB), Co-operative Banks, Private Scheduled Commercial Banks regulated by RBI and approved by SLMC of concern State.
