What is the objective of the scheme?

Who is eligible to get the benefits of the scheme?
The student should be a domicile of Haryana & belong to Scheduled Castes & Backward Classes have a total family income of [?] 2.50 lakh per annum and will be eligible under the scheme.
What is the income criterion under the scheme?
The annual income of the parents/guardians Should not exceed [?]2.50 lacs.
Is this scheme only for a permanent resident of Haryana State?
Yes, the student should be a permanent resident of Haryana State.
Can a general category student apply under the scheme?
No, this scheme is only for the Scheduled Castes & Backward Classes of Haryana State.
How many chances will get a student to avail of the benefits of the scheme?
Benefit under the scheme can be availed by a particular candidate only two times, irrespective of the number of chances he/she may be entitled to in a particular competitive examination. The coaching institutions will also be required to obtain an affidavit from the candidates that they have not taken benefit for more than two chances under this scheme.
In what condition shall the benefits of free coaching for a student be discontinued?
In the event of any student remaining absent for more than 5 days at a time maximum of 15 days during the entire course without any valid reason, benefits of free coaching to him/her shall be discontinued and another candidate shall be taken in his/her place.
How will the students be selected under the scheme?
The candidates for coaching under the scheme will be selected at State Level by a committee consisting of academic experts headed by the Secretary, Welfare of Scheduled Castes, and Backward Classes Department. The other members of the committee will be nominated by the chairperson.
