No. Insurance compensation is payable only under one single category, even if the beneficiary is covered under multiple schemes simultaneously under the overall framework.

What is the mandatory time frame within which the necessary application form and all supporting documentation must be submitted to the local Nodal Officer?

The claim application must be submitted within ninety (90) days from the date of the student’s death or the date of the accident causing permanent disability.

If my compensation claim is formally rejected and I exhaust the internal review process, in which location can I file a lawsuit or pursue judicial action?

The exclusive legal, quasi-judicial, and judicial jurisdiction or authority for any resultant legal action is strictly limited to Gandhinagar.

If the student’s designated legal heir who is entitled to receive the compensation amount is still considered a minor, how is the payment handled?

The insurance amount must be paid to the minor's Natural Guardian or legal guardian, provided they submit the court order appointing them under the Guardian and Wards Act.

What specific characteristics must the incident leading to injury or death possess for it to be recognized as an 'accident' eligible for insurance coverage?

The incident must be unexpected, sudden, and unintentional, and must clearly display visible signs of external violence.

When I appear before the concerned Nodal Officer to submit the compensation request and mandatory supporting papers, am I required to carry specific identification proof?

Yes, the applicant (heir or disabled beneficiary) must appear in person and bring the original identity card at the time of claim submission.

Is there a maximum time limit for completing all required documentation and final compliance after the date of the accident or death before the claim is permanently closed?

Yes. The claim will be automatically closed and no request for reconsideration will be accepted twelve months after the date of the accident or death.

Who is considered an eligible participant for receiving financial coverage benefits under this student accident protection scheme implemented by the State Government?

The beneficiary must be a student currently studying in any Primary, Secondary, or Higher Secondary school operating within Gujarat State.

If I need to make an inquiry regarding the status of my pending claim, can a family friend, lawyer, or an agent represent me or seek information on my behalf?

No. Claim inquiries or representations must be made only by the applicant or beneficiary themselves, excluding any third parties like agents or lawyers.

Are there specific circumstances related to the cause of death or injury that would automatically make a beneficiary ineligible to receive the insurance funds?

Yes. Claims will not be accepted if the death or injury is caused by suicide, attempted suicide, natural death, or any act that is determined to be against the law or statute.

If the insurance provider formally communicates a decision rejecting my application for compensation, what is the mandatory first step I must take to challenge this decision?

You or your successor must first submit a representation regarding the rejected claim to the designated Review Committee within thirty (30) days of the rejection.

If the applicant lives far away or has difficulty traveling, is it permissible to send the completed compensation application and supporting papers via postal mail?

No, the applicant or successor must submit the written application in the prescribed format to the local Nodal Officer in person; submission via post is not allowed under any circumstances.

Can the benefit amount be denied if the accidental death or injury occurred while the student was driving a motorized vehicle at the time of the incident?

Yes, if the incident resulted from the deceased's gross negligence, such as driving without an effective and valid driving license as required by Section 3 of the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988.

Are there any specific types of accidents involving railways that are explicitly excluded from receiving benefits under this insurance plan?

Yes, if the death or injury occurs due to illegal entry or trespass near railway tracks or railway engines without permission, as per the Indian Railway Manual.
