The scheme aims to recognize young talented artistes who have contributed and continue to work for the development of tiatr, its song and music, and have enriched Konkani Tiatr and Song through All India Radio, Doordarshan and other platforms at national and international levels.

Who can apply

The applicant must be not more than 35 years of age.; The applicant must have contributed in the field of tiatr for at least 10 years.; The applicant must have performed in at least 15 tiatrs.; The applicant's contribution should be considered in areas such as acting, script writing, directing, singing, lyricist work, set designing, etc.; The applicant's contribution as an actor, script writer, director, singer, lyricist, set designer, etc.; The applicant should have received or won any awards in his/her field.; The applicant should have done any innovation on the tiatr stage.; The applicant, if a singer/musician, should have songs recorded on Compact Discs, Digital Versatile Discs, All India Radio, Doordarshan, online, etc.; The applicant should have acted/directed/sung/composed music/composed lyrics/designed sets/provided background music/designed light effects for dramas in other languages or in films.; The applicant, if script writer or lyricist, should have published any books of his/her scripts/lyrics.; The applicant, if a writer/director, should have written/directed at least 7 tiatrs.; The applicant's contribution in acting/singing/providing live music/stage setting/background music, providing lights, as a makeup artiste should be at least for 10 years and should have performed in at least 15 tiatrs.
