What you get

- Financial Support: Tiatr Academy of Goa will provide financial support to the extent as fixed by Tiatr Academy of Goa towards various aspects: Direction, Live Band (with at least 2 blowing instruments), Outside Artistes, Stage Setting, Background Music, Costumes, Make-up, Light Effects.- Technical Guidance: Provision of director from Tiatr Academy of Goa's Panel of Directors who will direct village talents and produce the tiatr.- Director Expenses: The expenditure incurred in engaging the director will be borne by Tiatr Academy of Goa.- Marketing Materials: Provision of one banner which should be compulsorily displayed on one of the two front side wings of the stage.- Documentation: Tiatr Academy of Goa may video film the performance at Kala Academy.- Observer Support: Tiatr Academy of Goa may depute an observer from its Panel of Observers to see whether the performance has been made as per the norms of the scheme.- Payment Method: Payment will be made directly to the service providers.- Sponsorship Policy: Sponsorship from businessmen, firms etc. may be taken. | Conditions | _The performance of the tiatr should be staged in the village/urban area of production._ | _The tiatr should be shown to the people free without charging any tickets._ | _Submit statement of expenditure enclosing all original bills (stamped receipt if the amount exceeds ₹5,000/-)._ | _Provide 20 invitation cards/entry passes to Tiatr Academy of Goa well in advance from the middle of rows A, B, or C._ | _Return banner to Tiatr Academy of Goa after the show is staged._ | _Payment will be made only after the receipt of the observer's certificate._

Who can apply

The applicant must be an Educational Institution, Cultural Association, Dramatic Troupe, or Individual.; The applicant must be interested in promoting Tiatr culture in the village.; The applicant must be from the particular village/urban area/parish (in case of Mumbai, Sindhudurg and other parts of the country).; The participating artistes must be from the particular village/urban area/parish (Educational Institutions only).; A maximum of 3 artistes from outside the village/urban areas/parish must be allowed to act as well as sing in the tiatr.; The tiatr must be produced in its original format including 6 or 7 acts (podd'dde) with at least 4 'cantos' and comedy linked to the story of the play.; The tiatr must include at least 14 'Kantaram' which includes at least 2 Duets, 1 Duo, 2 Trios, 1 Quartet/Quintet, 2 Choral Songs and Solos.; The applicant must not make any adverse remark in any form either written or verbal against any Governments/Individuals/Institutions or anything against caste, creed and religion in the scripts/lyrics of songs/performances/speeches which may hurt the sentiments of anybody.; The applicant must communicate the schedule of practices to Tiatr Academy of Goa well in advance.; The applicant must discuss with Tiatr Academy of Goa and decide who will be the Chief Guest/Guest of Honour at the performance well in advance.; The applicant must ensure this is the first performance of the tiatr for which financial assistance is sought from Tiatr Academy of Goa.; The script and songs may be written/composed by anyone from within the village or elsewhere but acting and singing must be done by the artistes from the particular village/urban area/parish.; Musicians may be from anywhere and not necessarily from the village.; Advertising Requirements: In all advertisements, oral, or print or electronic media, banners, etc. the following must be inserted/published/announced 'This Tiatr is organized in collaboration with Tiatr Academy of Goa'.

For performers in Mumbai, Sindhudurg, and other parts of the country, you must attach address proof documents to verify that each performer belongs to the specific parish or local area where the performance will be staged.

How far in advance must I submit my complete application before the scheduled date of my theatrical performance?

Your application with all required documents must reach the office at least 30 days before your planned staging date. Incomplete applications will not be accepted, so ensure all documentation is properly prepared and submitted within this timeframe.

What specific acknowledgment must I include in all promotional materials and advertisements for my supported theatrical production?

In all advertisements, oral announcements, print media, electronic media, and banners, you must include the statement "This performance is organized in collaboration with the organization." This acknowledgment is mandatory across all promotional channels and materials.
