No, handwritten lyrics will not be accepted. You must submit a typed copy of the lyrics of your song in Roman script along with your application form.
Are there any restrictions on singers who have previously participated in popular tiatr performances?
Yes, singers who have participated in popular tiatr will not be eligible to participate in this competition. The Tiatr Academy of Goa's decision in this regard will be final.
What prize money can I expect if I win first place in the Best Quartet or Quintet category?
The first prize for Best Quartet/Quintet category is ₹6,000/- and the second prize is ₹3,000/-. Additionally, certificates will be awarded to winners and participants.
How many different sections can I participate in during a single competition cycle?
You can participate in all three sections: Section 1 (Duet or Duo), Section 2 (Trio or Quartet), and Section 3 (Quintet or Choral). However, you must use fresh application forms for every section/category.
What age categories are available for participants in this singing competition?
The competition is organized in two categories: participants above 16 years to 25 years, and participants up to 16 years on the day fixed for submission of application.
If my song has previously won prizes in competitions organized by Kala Academy or Art and Culture Department, can I still participate?
Songs that have won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes in any competitions organized by Kala Academy, Art and Culture Department, or Tiatr Academy of Goa will not be considered for the first three prizes in this competition.
What documents do I need to prove my age for participation in the competition?
You must submit self-attested copies of Birth or Baptism Certificates, or a certificate by the Headmaster or Headmistress of a recognized school certifying your birth date. Original documents should be produced for verification.

Travelling allowance will be given to every participant, though the specific amount is determined by the Tiatr Academy of Goa as per their guidelines.
