Who can apply

Common Questions

Can a farmer who owns dairy animals but does not live in Goa apply for the subsidy benefit under this scheme?

Only farmers who are bona fide residents of Goa for at least the last 5 years are eligible to apply for the subsidy.

If a farmer has a cattle shed and milch animals outside Goa, can the application still be considered?

The applicant must own a cattle shed with milch animals located within the State of Goa to qualify for assistance.

Is a person eligible if they have already received a subsidy for the same equipment under another Government programme?

Applicants who have claimed subsidies for similar equipment under any other scheme are not eligible for this scheme.

Can the subsidy be availed for second-hand, refurbished or used dairy equipment?

The subsidy is strictly available only for the purchase of new dairy equipment and implements.

Is there a specific limit on how much subsidy can be availed under this scheme?

Yes. The subsidy is provided at 75% of the permissible equipment cost, limited to ₹2,00,000/- per beneficiary.

Are there any conditions regarding the dealers from whom the equipment must be purchased?

Is there any restriction on transferring or selling the equipment purchased with the subsidy?

Yes. The equipment cannot be sold or transferred for a minimum period of 42 months (3.5 years) from the date of subsidy release.

Can a family jointly owning milch animals submit a combined application for the subsidy?

The scheme requires each applicant to apply individually in their name with their own cattle shed and milch animals.

Are both male and female applicants eligible to apply for assistance under this scheme?

Yes. The scheme is open to all eligible farmers, irrespective of gender, provided they meet the residency and ownership requirements.

Can a farmer reapply for additional equipment once the subsidy limit is reached?
