What happens if our group decides to withdraw from the competition after the performance schedule has been officially drawn and announced?
If you withdraw after the schedule is drawn by Tiatr Academy of Goa, your complete security deposit of ₹1,000/- will be forfeited and will not be returned.
Can we submit our security deposit payment through a personal or organizational cheque along with our application form?
No, cheques are not accepted for security deposit payment. You must pay ₹1,000/- either in cash or through a demand draft in favour of Member Secretary, Tiatr Academy of Goa, payable at Panaji.
What are the minimum and maximum time limits that our One-Act Play performance must strictly adhere to during the competition?
Your One-Act Play performance must be not less than 35 minutes and not more than 45 minutes in total duration.
Are there any specific individual performance categories for which separate recognition awards will be presented during the competition?
Yes, individual awards with mementos will be given for Direction, Male Actor, Female Actor, Background Music, Stage Setting, Light Effects, Make-up, and Script categories.
What format and script requirements must we follow when submitting our One-Act Play manuscript along with the application?
You must submit a typed copy of your One-Act Play written in Roman Script format along with your application form.
Will the organizing academy provide any financial assistance or reimbursement for our group's travel expenses to participate in the competition?
Yes, Tiatr Academy of Goa will reimburse the amount you spend on transport for participants as per Regional Transport Office norms.
What is the minimum number of participating groups required for the competition to be officially organized and conducted?
At least 5 groups must register and participate for the competition to be organized and conducted by Tiatr Academy of Goa.
How much time will our group be allocated for setting up our stage arrangements, lighting equipment, and other technical preparations?
Each participating group will be given exactly 15 minutes to complete stage setting, light setting arrangements, and other technical preparations.
What documentary permission must we obtain from the original creator before submitting our entry for the competition?
You must obtain and submit written permission from the playwright or original writer of the One-Act Play along with your application.
What types of content or themes are strictly prohibited and could lead to immediate disqualification from the competition?
Any adverse remarks written or verbal against governments, individuals, institutions, or anything against caste, creed, and religion that may hurt sentiments are strictly prohibited.
What is the maximum number of groups that can participate in this competition and on what basis are they selected?
A maximum of 18 groups will be permitted to participate in the competition on a first come first serve basis.
What cash prizes and recognition will be awarded to the top performing groups in this dramatic competition?
Three awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions will include mementos, certificates, and cash amounts as decided by Tiatr Academy of Goa.
