What you get

₹ 1000/- per month per child is provided for up to two children in a family to meet the cost of maintenance and education.

Who can apply

The applicant should be a widow/destitute woman or with a dependent child/children. OR the legal guardian of the child/children who have been deprived of parental support or care after their parent's death or continued absence from home.; The age of the child/children should be less than or equal to 18 years.; If parents of the child/children have died, the assistance will be provided to the legal guardian.; The widow/destitute woman or the legal guardian should be a resident of the UT of Chandigarh for more than 3 years.; The child should not be in receipt of family pension from any State/Central Govt.
