The scheme aims to provide practical technical experience through live projects. Under this programme, a 6-month internship with a stipend of ₹20,000/- per month is offered to eligible engineering students.

Who can apply

The applicant must be a resident of India.; The applicant must be an Engineering Graduate or equivalent, with at least 75% marks in the qualifying degree.; The applicant must be an Engineering Post–Graduate or equivalent, with at least 75% marks in the qualifying degree.; The applicant must have passed their qualifying degree in the last two years, and in the current year. Students of the current year are eligible to apply for this technical internship scheme.

How many internship positions are available?

A total of 50 internship positions are available across different technical roles.

How are candidates selected for the internship?

Candidates are shortlisted based on marks in the qualifying degree, followed by interviews or selection by an internal committee as per the requirements of NeGD.

Is any preference given during the selection process?

Preference may be given to applicants who: | - Have relevant certification courses, or | - Belong to the top 100 colleges ranked under the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) by the Ministry of Education.

Will interns receive a certificate after completing the internship?

Yes. An Internship Completion Certificate is issued by NeGD after successful completion of the 6-month internship and satisfactory performance certified by the mentor.
