Who can apply

The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam.; The applicant must belong to the Tea Tribes and Adivasi community.; The applicant must be pursuing higher studies such as Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Engineering, and such other technical/higher education.; The applicant's family income must not exceed ₹5,00,000/- per annum.; The applicant should not be a Government Service holder.; Students studying through correspondence course are also eligible to apply.

You are not eligible for other schemes if you receive this financial assistance, except for the "Simon Sing Horo Special Post-Matric Scholarship," provided you meet its eligibility criteria.

You must submit either the admission fee receipt for the course you are undertaking or a recommendation letter from the Head of the Institution certifying your enrollment.

Your Parent or Guardian must submit a signed undertaking asserting that your annual family income does not exceed ₹5,00,000/- per annum.

If I failed a class and was consequently detained, am I allowed to reapply for this scholarship for the same class during my second attempt?

Detained students are ineligible to apply for financial assistance or scholarship programs for the exact same class or year of study twice.

Is there a requirement regarding my professional status, such as employment type, that might restrict my ability to successfully apply for this assistance?

Yes, the applicant applying for this scheme should not be currently employed as a Government Service holder.
